Playwriting 401
$500.00

PNW Playwriting 401 is an intensive writing course for early playwrights interested in learning the fundamentals, while completing the first draft of a new one-act play.

This course meets 12 times online as a full group, twice independently with the instructor, and spans a total of 16 weeks, with writing weeks built into the schedule.

  • “Playwriting for me is the way I get to be a storyteller, in the most live art form possible.”

    Dominique Morisseau

  • "I am very aware that playwrights, particularly good ones, have a intention for everything they write. Language and punctuation is used specifically, and most of the time actors can find wonderful clues about character in the rhythm and cadence of the language used."

    Laura Linney

  • "Being a playwright is like the equivalent of doing a jigsaw puzzle that has 1,500 pieces, and it's a jigsaw of a blue sky. Not a cloud in sight."

    Lewis Black
