What else has been happening …

  • LASTING was commissioned as a staged reading event in downtown Indianapolis for the 2026 Health Humanities Consortium Conference.

  • Staged Readings by New American Playwrights - is our seasonal event that showcases the original scripts of our Theatre for Veterans writers. The public performance brings theatre artists and military veterans together to create powerful and engaging theatre for our Indianapolis community. Thanks to the 2026 GIG Fund, we were able to feature more talent, and support incredible artists from the Midwest and our sibling states.

Staged Readings by New American Playwrights - is our seasonal event that showcases the original scripts of our Theatre for Veterans writers. The public performance brings theatre artists and military veterans together to create powerful and engaging theatre for our Indianapolis community. Angeline Larimer represented Propel New Works at the National New Plays Network - New Play Development Organization Roundtable in NYC.

Theatre for Veterans members presented how we run our Thursday Night Scriptwriters’ Workshop for the University of South Carolina Beaufort Interdisciplinary Studies Conference: "Balm: Binding Art, Life, Medicine"- An Interdisciplinary Online Conference on Narrative Medicine and Health Humanities.

Johnny Clark, artistic director of Vs. Theatre Company included a sampling of Theatre for Veterans scripts for an evening of online readings featuring veteran written plays. Members of our Theatre for Veterans Workshops also attended the online event.

Che’Rae Adams, artistic director of PlayPenn and a respected leader in new play development facilitated an excellent workshop for our Propel New Works writers, Theatre for Veterans members, and friends of our organization.

LASTING cast, director, and writers presented a reading for the Vs. Theatre Company, Los Angeles, California

Angeline represented Propel New Works as a featured panelist at the 2026 Directors Lab West in Pasadena, California.

Carrie Klewin Lawrence, professional theatre practitioner, director, and author of Origin Story, facilitated two very informative workshops and industry discussions for our Propel New Works writers, Theatre for Veterans members, and our Theatre for Women Veterans workshop members.
